Our History

 American Government Services has been a force in the real estate industry since 1979. Upon her joining in 1996, former CEO and current Board Member Karen Manning led the company to expand into the public sector, and experience growth and stability. Karen earned both her Bachelor of Science in Real Estate and her MBA from Florida State University. Today, Wendi McAleese (President), Tammy Mehl (Senior Vice President), and their team of experienced real estate professionals work closely with both private and public sector clients, establishing long-term relationships and multi-year contracts. AGS is fully committed to giving back to our local community through directly participating and financially supporting many worthy organizations and charities in the Greater Tampa Bay area. 

Wendi McAleese (President)

​Wendi is a Florida Licensed Title Insurance Agent and Licensed Real Estate Salesperson with over 20 years experience in the insurance industry. Wendi is actively involved in the day to day operations of the company including management of title examination on all work, and our Closing Department. Wendi is also serving as the Project Manager for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection for our multi-year statewide contract. 

Tammy Mehl (Senior Vice President)

Tammy has been in the real estate industry for over 20 years and has been with American Government Services since 1998. Tammy is actively involved in the day to day operations of the company including management responsibility for our Research Department. She is responsible for all research performed under all contracts including Florida Department of Transportation, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
